International premiere: Monblanc New Voices at Stars of the White Nights Festival (Mariinsky Theatre) 2012
Central event of the festival took place on the 23rd of June. Gala-concert Stars of the White Nights in Tsarskoe Selo was directed by maestro Valery Gergiev.
The reception was held in fascinating baroque interiors of Ekaterininsky Palace. Pinchas Zukerman, Vasily Barkhatov, Diana Vishneva and Henry Kissinger were among special guests of the festival.
Closing ceremony of the evening was opened by performance of Montblanc New Voices award winners. It was followed by the ball, historically important event for Russian high society over the years since Tsar times.
