Charity Christmas celebration for Deti BELA foundation.

Charity performance "Anya in Wonderland" starring Ksenia Rappoport and Danila Kozlovsky was held at Hermitage theatre. Performance was based on Lewis Carroll "Alice in Wonderland" translated by Vladimir Nabokov. All proceeds from ticket sales were given to the Deti BELA foundation.
After the performance all the guests were invited to Kempinski Moika 22 Hotel to enjoy the cocktail and to participate in charity auction.

Ballet Romeo and Juliet, by the Ekaterinburg State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre at Diaghilev. P.S. 2016

Rounding up the Diaghilev P.S. 2016 Festival’s live theatre offerings, on 26 November, was shown a single performance of Viacheslav Samodurov’s production of Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet, by the dancers of the Ekaterinburg State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre.

Exhibition Images. Beyond the Reality at the Sheremetev Palace

Exhibition Images. Beyond the Reality. From ritual artifact to artistic alter ego, this exhibition traces the how the role of the mask has developed beyond being a sacred object and form of religious costuming into becoming an interface with unexpected depths of artistic expression, offering an uncanny magic – and often challenging persona - to different aspects of art and theatrical performance. Historical dress and masks from the collection of Russian Museum of Ethnography will be shown alongside examples made by Kazimir Malevich, Vladimir Maiakovsky, Olga Rozanova, Daniil Burliuk, Ilia Zdanevich, Natalia Goncharova, Mikhail Larionov, Valdimir Tatlin, Sergei Paradzhanov, Garik Assa, Sergei Chernov, Sergei Bugaev-Africa, Sergei Kourekhin, Alexander Petliura, Vladislav Mamishev-Monro, Andrey Bartenev.

Romeo and Juliet by MusicAeterna orchestra of the Perm Opera and Ballet theatre at Diaghilev. P.S. 2016

The 125th anniversary of the birth of Sergei Prokofiev was celebrated with a performance by the MusicAeterna orchestra of the Perm Opera and Ballet theatre. On 23 November the orchestra, conducted by Teodor Currentzis, performed Prokofiev’s score for the ballet Romeo and Juliet.

Exhibition Moving Still by Lois Greenfield (USA)

A photographic exhibition by Lois Greenfield (USA), entitled Moving Still was opened on 21 November at the Sheremetev Palace. Greenfield started to work in the field of experimental choreography in 1973, finding a unique style that subsequently influenced many young photographers. In 2015 Lois Greenfield was awarded with the ‘Dance in Focus’ prize, for contribution to the development of photography.

Press conference of Diaghilev. P.S. 2016

The press conference presenting the complete Diaghilev.P.S. 2016 programme took place on 21 November at the Ambassador Hotel. Participants included the artistic director and principle choreographer of Béjart Ballet Lausanne, Gil Roman; the artistic director of The White Dance Theatre, Izadora Weiss; composer Krzysztof Penderecki; conductor Teodor Currentzis; photographer Lois Greenfield; and the artistic director of Diaghilev. P.S. Natalia Metelitza.

Bejart Ballet Lausanne opened the festival Diaghilev. P.S. 2016

The program me of international art festival Diaghilev. P.S. 2017 was opened by performance of Bejart Ballet Lausanne at Tovstonogov Bolshoi Drama Theate. The program me consist of four works. Three are by Béjart himself - The Miraculous Mandarin, Etude for the Lady of the Camellias and Bakhti III – and will be shown alongside Anima Blues by Gil Roman. All four ballets are receiving their Russian premières.
